LowInvestor Impact Field impact verification

We go on site to verify that the promised impact exists.

Field impact verification and measurement in Africa: site visits, photos and videos, testimonies. For funders who must evidence the impact of a financing, and for companies that want to know their impact and reputation in their ecosystem.

The problem

Impact is reported remotely. It is verified on site.

The impact targets of a financing (jobs created, beneficiaries reached, infrastructure delivered) usually rest on what the project holder reports. Reports come in, indicators are filled, but nobody has seen the results.

The same goes for companies: how clients, suppliers and local communities perceive them, and their real place in the ecosystem, are hard to measure from a head office. Remote surveys collect opinions; they don't show what exists.

What sets us apart

Field evidence, not just reported figures.

LowInvestor Impact

  • Verify on site that the impact targets tied to a financing are met.
  • Measure a company's impact on its ecosystem and its local reputation.
  • Document with site visits, dated and geolocated photos and videos, and testimonies.
  • Separate observed facts from analysis, with an explicit confidence level.

What it is not

  • A standardised phone survey that only collects opinions.
  • A financial audit or a certification.
  • A months-long academic evaluation.

A complement to your monitoring and evaluation teams and consultancies: we bring the field evidence they lack.

Frequently asked questions

What is field impact verification?

Going on site to check whether the reported results of a project or company exist: visits to the results, photos and videos, interviews with beneficiaries and local stakeholders. It is also known as third-party monitoring (TPM).

How is it different from a beneficiary survey?

A survey, often by phone, collects what people perceive. We add what can be observed: results, sites and activities, documented with visual evidence. The two approaches complement each other.

Can you measure a company's reputation?

Yes. We collect on site how the company is perceived by its clients, suppliers, communities and local stakeholders, and describe its place in its ecosystem.

Which regions do you cover?

Primarily North and West Africa and the Sahel, where our network is densest: Mauritania, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, the Maghreb.

How do we start?

A 30-minute call to understand the targets to verify and the scope, then a tailored proposal. A first case lets you judge the method for yourself.

A financing or project whose impact you must evidence?

Let's discuss the targets to verify and the field concerned. We will propose a first assignment so you can judge for yourself.
